A New Dawn for the UFC (World Domination)

Unless you don't watch MMA (mixed martial arts) or you have been living under a rock, chances are you have seen a UFC fight. Well the biggest fight league in the world is about to dominate the world of MMA and combat sports by merging with the WEC. The WEC which stands for "World Extreme Cage Fighting", is known for their standout bantamweight and featherweight fighters. Now with the merge of these two companies the UFC will now have these weight classes plus the lightweight division and up making the UFC a well more established league. This will also create new match-ups for the lighter weight divisions by fighters having more flexibility to move between divisions. The talent pool will increase as well as ratings according to Dana White. According to Dana, he claims the UFC will reach a billion homes in the upcoming months. The UFC is already at half a billion and rising and is also in talks of bringing the league to an American network such as NBC or FOX. It is estimated that the newer UFC will host 30-35 fights per year. Can the UFC get any bigger? The answer is prevalent.
